When the Watt Pottery Company introduced their new line of kitchen wares in the late 1930s, banded mixing bowls in graduated sizes were the first products offered. Most designs were offered in 5 inch, 6 inch, 7 inch, 8 inch, 9 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch, and 14 inch diameters. One of the earliest color combinations for the mixing bowls was the blue and white banded bowls.
Various colored bands appeared on the cream colored bowls such as medium blue and white, light blue and white, green and white, brown, green, and other colors. Pitchers, cookie jars, covered casseroles and pie plates were also produced with the banded design.
