Rooster Watt Pottery
The Watt Pottery Rooster pattern was introduced in 1955. It is believed to have been produced through 1958 because it is found on the hourglass shakers. The Watt Pottery Rooster pieces originally sold for more than the Watt Pottery Apple pieces, probably due to the higher decorating costs. The Watt Pottery Rooster pattern was produced in many molds. Some of the Watt Pottery Rooster molds were many different sized bowls, salt and pepper shakers, canisters, creamers, small and large pitchers, sugar bowls, bean pots, and others. There have been many Watt Pottery Rooster number 15 pitcher reproductions coming onto the market in recent years. It is very easy to spot these reproductions because the clay in the pottery is more white than cream color.
