The Watt Pottery Rooster pattern was introduced in 1955.  It is believed to have been produced through 1958 because it is found on the hourglass shakers.  The Watt Pottery Rooster pieces originally sold for more than the Watt Pottery Apple pieces, probably due to the higher decorating costs.
